COMMUNITY ADVOCACY

    Our travel agency seeks to develop a program that would help and uplift the Lumads in Talaingod through basic education. This program aims to educate and support them in becoming literate.

     Unfortunately, they have limited access to formal education before, but now, they understand and realized its value in setting their economic, cultural, and ethnic existence. Due to these disadvantages, they have been persuaded to sign contracts that resulted in the loss of their lands and properties.

     The actual need, however, is for a program that is dedicated to improving the lives of the community in the long run where our travel agency will provide an educational center and materials needed to acquire basic education. The benefit of education is that the individual's skills can help the entire community.

Objectives of this Program:
• Teach the Lumads how to read, write, and count.
• Teach them to acquire practical skills, particularly in the fields of agriculture and health.
• Encourage the young members of the community to have a formal education.
